Green Smoothie Bowl with Spirulina

Green Smoothie Bowl with Spirulina – hello, summer! This smoothie bowl is refreshing and perfect for hot summer days!

I’m a big fan of Spirulina! If you haven’t tried it, definitely add it to your list! Spirulina is the most nutrient dense food on the planet (yes, even more than kale, surprisingly!) I’ve made a few recipes using it on the blog including a Wellness Shot and a Green Smoothie! More on the way too, so stay tuned!

If I’m looking for something different than my go-to acai bowl, I’ll make this Green Smoothie Bowl with Spirulina. It’s really quick to make! The toppings are important though, make sure to add some with fat to keep you full. My favorite right now is coconut flakes but you could also add almond butter, nuts, chia, the list literally could go on forever…

We had one hot week here in Reno and I got really excited for summer. Now the high is 50 and I’m freezing (maybe because the windows are open?) It doesn’t look nice again until 2 more weeks, UGH! I even got so excited for summer that I bought a mini-watermelon! I guess I’m going back to jeans and sweaters for now. Cheers to summer (sooner rather than later)!
