Our bike-moon ended in Bar Harbor, Maine and we were lucky enough to spend a week exploring. Bar Harbor has a lot to offer! If you’re planning a 2017 trip, add Acadia to the list. The weather was absolutely perfect in October, chilly at night and warm during the day. The fresh seafood deserves an entire blog (or blog post) – it is so good! October is not peak-season for Acadia; however, it still does get busy. Leaf peeking season is early to mid October. If you plan it right, you can see the most beautiful colors in New England and visit a National Park. We spent 6 days in Bar Harbor with 4 exploring the park.
It’s a Bourbon Cider thing…
‘Tis the season for bourbon drinks. I made this cocktail for our first holiday party three years ago and haven’t stopped since. It is easy, fancy, delicious, and doesn’t need a long intro.
ARRIVE @ Palm Springs
On our way to Arizona for the Thanksgiving holiday, my mom and I stopped at ARRIVE Palm Springs. We showed up around 8:30pm – it was late and dark. We were warmly greeted and they offered free valet, a treat! Complementary welcome drinks are standard at check-in which is located at the hotel bar. The best part about this hotel – they’re pet friendly (pets are limited to 40lbs and a one time charge of $50 is applied to your room)! We went to our room, put our stuff down, and went to eat.
A Day in Santa Fe, New Mexico
During our honeymoon, we spent a rest day in Santa Fe, New Mexico where we chose to stay at a nice hotel, La Fonda on the Plaza. When we entered our room, we saw a bottle of champagne – what a surprise! Okay, this should be attributed to our great friends Marissa & Drew. After imbibing a bit, we went to dinner at The Shed, where we had fantastic margaritas!
