I’m a big fan of shots. (Haha, not in that way!) I’m a fan of healthy drinks that are one ‘big gulp’ and done instead of some large drink that never ends. This is especially true, I repeat, especially true, if you’re unsure about how something will turn out or you’re making a recipe for the first time.
I posted a Wellness Shot with Spirulina a while ago and it’s the second most popular recipe on the blog! You can find the recipe here. I’m a big fan of spirulina and cayenne and it seems like they just don’t belong together so they had to be separate recipes! I hope you enjoy this Spicy Ginger Wellness Shot as much as I do!
Spicy Ginger Wellness Shot – the perfect shot to keep you moving!
- 2.5 inches fresh turmeric
- 3 inches 3 inches fresh ginger
- 1 lemon
- cayenne

Juice lemons (rind on), turmeric and ginger in a juicer.

Pour into serving glasses, top with cayenne, drink immediately & enjoy!
Note 1: This shot is sour – if you’re looking to sweeten it, add an apple to the juicer section or honey to the serving glasses!
Note 2: If you don’t have a juicer, add 1/2 cup water, blend and use a mesh cloth to strain into glasses.
