Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Apples and Bacon

roasted brussels with apples and bacon

My old friend, Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Apples and Bacon is finally making an appearance on the blog & I could not be more excited to share this recipe with you! This is a staple in our household – it’s simple & delicious. What else could you ask for in a recipe?

I usually get my produce from two places – Blue Basket Organics (a local company in Reno) and Costco. I am the person in Costco who buys 20 bags of brussel sprouts at a time. Okay, not actually 20 bags, more like 2 or 3. But, the bags are 2 lbs each! Brussel Sprouts, usually, stay good for a really long time & then I always have them on hand.

I made a version of this recipe for Christmas (sub cranberries in for apples) and you all loved it (see Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Cranberries and Bacon)! BUT, it’s nearly impossible to get cranberries year-round. So, I wanted to also share the version I make at least once a week. The apples add a little sweetness (no maple syrup necessary here!) and the bacon adds some salt.

I hope you enjoy these as much as we do! Cheers!
